Mambjao, Camiguin (May 13, 2024) – Honorable Governor of the province of Camiguin Xavier Jesus  D. Romualdo expressed deep gratitude and warm welcome to the 7 delegations of the 2024 Northern Mindanao Athletic  Association (NMRAA) Meet on the opening day dated May 13, 2024.

“ You take to heart in your journey here in Camiguin. The lessons you will learn, the friendships you will make, the bonds you will create and the memories you will stablish will form part and parcel of your unforgettable experience and growth.

“XJ” mentioned that all athletes from the different delegations should embrace the spirit of camaraderie, cheer each other’s success and inspire each other to renew oneself to reach    a greater height of achievements.

“You are not just representing your local government and DepEd division, yet you are also representing the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication,” he furthered underscored.

The top official of the province also articulated that athletes should surely look forward to competing   their events so well for winning, giving them chance to represent Region X in the Palarong Pambansa at Cebu City probably in July this year.

Along this line of thought, he hopes that the participants while contending to grab the bronze, silver, and gold medals here in Camiguin Island, they should also take into their hearts what the real essence   of NMRAA Meet is.

Additionally, the Governor acknowledged everyone who involved in the events, particularly the 7 delegations that composed 14 Divisions -their heads and workforce, as well as the athletes, parents, coaches and technical officials.

In the end, he recognized the next host of NMRAA 2025, which is the Misamis Occidental to be spearheaded by the father of the province, Gov. Henry S. Oaminal Sr. who graced the affair and   accepted the banner to officially take the challenge   as host to the next athletic competition.#
